September is upon us, and with that, we celebrate our 10-year anniversary of owning Kay Pool & Spa Service! Just thinking about this brings back many memories for us. We were expecting our second child when we made the decision to buy the business, and by the time everything went through, we were business owners with a newborn and a 3-year-old to take care of. Buying a business with two young children during a difficult time may have been a risky choice, but we don’t regret it at all! With it being September, we were starting out as business owners when it was time to close up pools for the season and then enter, what used to be, our slow season.
Over the years we have grown our business to what it is today, and we continue to make changes, so we can continue to grow. In 2015, we were honored to be chosen as an Emerging Entrepreneur by the Greater Reading Chamber. Even though our business has grown since we first bought it, we continue to strive to have the best customer service possible.
With our pool services, we have expanded from just the typical pool maintenance and cleaning to include vacation pool services and winter pool services. We continue to provide the best service possible when it comes to maintaining our customers’ pools.
For our hot tub services, we continue to provide two maintenance services to help keep our customers’ hot tubs in tip-top shape all year round.
Besides offering pool and hot tub services, we have always offered quality pool cleaning products and aromatherapy spa salts to our customers. Water’s Choice is a safer way to care for your pool and spa. They are safe for you as well as the environment.
As we celebrate our 10-year anniversary during September, we know we will be busy closing all of our customers’ pools for the year. And with this, we just wanted to reiterate the importance of winterizing your pool and hot tub properly. By having your pool winterized properly, you can rest easy knowing that when your pool cover is removed in the spring, there will be no ugly green pool waiting for you. Winterizing your hot tub is also very important so that you have no issues during the freezing temperatures that winter brings.
