Enzymes by definition: a substance produced by a living organism which acts as a catalyst to bring about a specific biochemical reaction. Most enzymes are made up of proteins that catalyze. You may be thinking great, what does that have to do with my pool and/or hot tub? I would say that is a great question. It was the same question I had when I was researching enzymes. That question took me on a 2-year journey.
The journey started at a pool and spa expo in Atlantic City, NJ. I met Tom and his wife Debbie from Boise, ID. They had a booth at the show. We started talking about enzymes and their enzyme specifically, Waters Choice®. Their catch phrase “If water had a choice, it would be Waterschoice®”
I like what I heard but I didn’t order one thing from them, I didn’t order anything for the next two seasons. Instead, I did plenty of research. I researched other companies, asked plenty of questions, spoke directly to the manufacturers of those other products.
First let’s talk, why enzymes? Then why Waterschoice®? Why should I use enzymes? By Adding enzymes to your pool and/or hot tub water is like taking vitamins to boost your immune system. Having Enzymes in the water, a healthy living environment is established allowing you to use less chemicals. Many of the chemicals used in pools and spas are harsh and cause our skin and hair to dry out, our eyes to burn, and give off strong odors.
When we add enzymes, eliminate some chemicals, and cut back on others, these problems go away, and many positive things happen.For example, filters are easier to clean, tile lines do not need to be cleaned as often, allowing you to save water, and your water becomes softer. In addition, your hair will not turn green and your equipment will last longer. In our area you will not need to use opening and closing chemicals, provided you close your pool clear and open it earlier. Organic stains will disappear such as dead worm stains at the drains.
Why Waterschoice®? After speaking with Tom, Debbie and a variety of other enzyme manufactures. I found that Waterschoice® enzymes are of a higher quality. Other enzymes are watered down or made with inferior ingredients. After using Waterschoice® for years now, my customers, family and friends love the quality of the enzyme and all their products.
